This site (flyingkarlis.com) is operated by Flying Karlis SIA, registered in Latvia (reg. No. LV40203558447, address: Latgales iela 273, 3, 3. LV-1063 Riga Latvia). Contact: [email protected].
This page explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. We follow the cookie rules of the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu Valsts Inspekcija) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device. It lets the site remember things about your visit — like whether you’ve accepted this notice, or what language you prefer. Some cookies are needed for the site to work. Others are optional and only run if you agree.
When do we ask for consent?
When you visit flyingkarlis.com for the first time, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Accept — optional cookies (analytics) start running.
- Decline — no optional cookies run. The site still works.
If you change your mind later, you can clear the cookie blocksy_cookies_consent_accepted in your browser, or use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page to re-open the banner.
Closing the banner without choosing is treated as a decline. We don’t set any non-essential cookies before you agree.
The cookies we use

These cookies make the site work. They don’t track you across other sites. No consent is needed under Latvian and EU rules.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. This means that even if you decline, Google Analytics may receive a small, anonymous, cookieless “ping” telling it a page was viewed — with no user ID, no fingerprint, no cross-site tracking, and no data that can be linked back to you. We use this only to count total page views in aggregate. You can disable even this by using a browser extension like uBlock Origin or by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser.
Who is the data shared with?
- Google Ireland Limited (controller for EU traffic in Google Analytics 4). Data is processed under Google’s standard contractual clauses and may be transferred to the United States. Google’s privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (DNS, CDN, and bot protection — strictly necessary). Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use cookies for advertising.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- ask us to delete it;
- object to or restrict processing;
- withdraw your consent at any time (use the Cookie preferences link in the footer);
- complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate — www.dvi.gov.lv.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we add, remove, or change any cookie, we’ll update this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is significant (for example, adding an advertising cookie), we’ll re-show the consent banner so you can choose again.
