 NICE TO GENEVA

We will embark on an eight-day trip through the French Alps, visiting various take-offs as weather permits. Our journey will be facilitated by a van equipped with camping gear, retrieval, and shuttle services. We will pick you up at Nice airport and drop you off at Geneva airport, with all the activities in between contingent on the weather conditions.

Each day, we will assess the flying options available and choose the closest and most favorable location. We will fly as far as conditions allow, while our van follows us with all our camping gear. Upon landing, we will decide on our accommodation for the night and prepare for the next day’s flight. This trip offers a grand adventure, allowing us to maximize our flying experience and explore the stunning French Alps.

Our journey will begin in Nice, visiting take-offs such as Gourdon, Gréolières, and Col De Bleine. From there, we will head northbound, making stops at iconic paragliding take-offs like Saint-André-les-Alpes, Saint-Hilaire, Annecy, Le Grand-Bornand, and Chamonix. Throughout our expedition, we will continuously monitor the weather to ensure the best possible flying conditions. Accommodation will be arranged at campsites or hotels along our route.

Pilots will arrive on Saturday, allowing time to settle in before our adventure begins on Sunday. For eight days, spanning the entire week until the following Sunday, we will travel and fly from place to place. Our journey will conclude at Geneva airport, where you should have your return flight booked for the following Monday.

A Place to stay

As the name suggests, this adventure involves chasing weather to maximize flying opportunities. Consequently, we cannot determine our accommodation in advance. Instead, our decision will be made on a day-to-day basis. We will assess the weather conditions, and based on our evaluation, decide where to go next. This may involve wild camping, staying in campsites, booking hotels, or seeking accommodation through Airbnb or similar services if the forecast indicates heavy rain overnight.

We will pick you up from Nice Airport. Please book your arrival flight to land in Nice around noon on Saturday 6th June.
